Double Rainbow

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

April Fools… or some would think from the most amazing double rainbow to cross the sky I had ever seen. And a special gift on such a special day!

I was in Salem Mass with some friends of mine. It was a very last minute early Saturday morning decision to make. And we piled into my roommates wonderful Scion XB which is perfect for a road trip. Off to see a psychic for some information.

A lot of my friends ask me why I need a psychic… “Shouldn’t you be able to tell what is going on in your life!” I wish it were that easy… But every psychic needs a psychic… this is spirits way of creating job security for us.

I love Salem Mass, but I can sometimes find the energy to be heavy and weighted when I am there. I often leave tired and exhausted, even though we protect ourselves from negative energy, Some places still just do it to ya!

This particular visit was different. We all had fun and made our way through the cute little famous witchy town and we all had wonderful readings. Sometimes I just feel the need to check in and see how things are going. So far they seem to be going well for me as of late. And my psychic confirmed they still will be. Always good to know.

But then again I spent most of the day wondering if still the other shoe would drop. After our lunch we decided to drive through the beautiful town of Marlblehead. And beautiful indeed.

I remember thinking to myself as I was running into the ocean on the rainy day (needed to get my feet wet) that I needed a good sign I was in the right place with my thoughts. And only a sign that a Rainbow like myself could get.

About 1/2 hour later we stopped at a cute little snack shop in MarbleHead to get some ice cream. As we were sitting and waiting for our treats my roommate excitedly pointed out the most AMAzing double rainbow in the sky.

I immediately ran outside to see and get pictures. The most amazing rainbow I had ever set my eyes on… I knew my questions had been affirmed.

Thanks Spirit.

Discernment

Something we all need to exercise regularly. Especially in this day and age. There is lot of energetic shifting happening on our plant as of late. Emotions are running high and low in various forms. People that you may have normally been close to seem to be changing before your very eyes. Causing relationships to shift and change. Some of you may been feeling you are leaving someone behind.

Don’t go into spaces of fear or concern, but rather begin to use your discernment. Especially those who are awakened and on the lightworker path. You do not need to be conscious that you are in this space to be able to get the benefits of using your discernment.

What exactly does this mean? As a practioner or spiritual worker, this means we have to be extra aware of our clients and what we bring to them for healing energies. We always should be in awareness of what we are bringing to them first and foremost. However, now is the time to be extra cautious. For practioners you may notice lately that what some are seeking may not in retrospect be what is best for them.

Using your discernment in this, will protect you from unwanted ramifications when your client changes their mood later. As a psychic I have learned over the years, we sometimes get information that may not yet be appropriate for the client. We have to trust our own inner guidance and wisdom to let us know if the time is right. I have never looked at this as withholding information. If your gut is telling you to wait, maybe even you as the psychic do not have quite all the correct information to give.

I get really turned off by people who use their gifts for shock value. I have worked with several people who have been scared by psychics and mediums. Scared!!! I already feel lile I have to hide in the closet most of the time as it is. However I find it even harder to tell people what I do because usually they have had a scary experience with someone. This sets off interesting reactions when your occupation comes up in a conversation….

“So Lauren, What do you do for work?”

“Oh, I’m a psychic.” At this point, 90% of the time, this is where I get a funny face. Usually uncomfortable or scared.

If we are really here to be accepted and to help everyone accept themselves as different… scaring them is not really going to allow other to be open to these amazingly empowering experiences.

Use your discernment.

In your everyday life, use your discernment. Take your time and make choices that are better for you. All it takes is one choice and then another… and soon you have a better life going for yourself. And then others will follow suit. They will learn by your example. Soon it will become infectious. Is that such a bad thing?

So I ask you also to take the time to share a smile with a stranger everyday. Maybe even a few times a day. You just may brighten someone’s moment. And with one little move of a muscle, to turn your face into a sparkling light… you have just done some healing! And when you need it most… someone will make you smile sometime.

Enjoy

Happy Easter!!

Monday, April 17th, 2006

And what an intersting Easter it has been, to say the least. Easter has truly been an amazing milestone for me over the years, and truly a sense of rebirth, each time it comes around! This year will prove to be nothing short of anything different.

About four years ago I was having dinner with a good friend of mine and we were talking about the spiritual path. I had just really begun to dive head first into mine and I was the curious cat with all kinds of questions. My good friend Jim was more than happy to answer them. He directed me to a popular book “Converstaions with God, Book 1″ by Neale Donald Walsh. This stuck in my head and a few days later… Easter day, I was heading over to have a feast with my roommate’s family at the time. I decided I wanted to pop by Borders and pick up this book as an Easter present to myself.

I was surprised to find Borders open on this day, but grateful none-the-less. As I arrived at the house for dinner, I had a few minutes to sit with myself and I eagerly opened the book to read the first line. It was apparently Easter day, 1992 when Mr. Walsh sat down to begin this book, for that was in the first line. For me it was EXACTLY ten years later I opened the book to begin… This series of books by Neale Donald Walsh has since changed my life drastically.

My father died just after that in January of 2003. I had since moved wtih my roommate into his parents house for awhile so that we both could recoup financially and rebuild our lives. Being unemployed and working to live a spiritual existence was a major strain on the purse. I would again be spending Easter day with this wonderful family who had loving opened their home to me.

That morning as I woke up to get ready for dinner, I went to the coffee pot to see a letter addressed to me from my step-mother. She knew I had stepped down the road of healing with Reiki and other healing modalities, but she did not know I had been studying Mediumship… at least consciously anyway! In the letter she described a moment in which my Dad seemed to have appeared to her in the middle of the night. He said something to her and she felt his presence leave. She wrote this letter thinking I would understand what she was going through. And I did… she gave me the key to tell her more about my life.

The next Easter I went to participate in a sweatlodge. However my moontime prevented me for being in the lodge with all my friends. I had many amazing lessons that day. And while all my friends were in there having fun, I was able to support them from the outside. A new role I would then play for a long time.

This year, I was able to be in the sweatlodge for Easter, just in time to rebirth ourselves litteraly into Easter day! We started our sweat on Saturday evening, and when the Ceremony was all set and done, It has just turned Easter. I thought this was interestingly appropriate, as the intention of this particular lodge was to bring you back into the womb… and indeed those of us who were within this lodge were rebirthed anew.

I am curious to see what this year will have in store for me, and I begin yet again to create the dreams I would love to have. As I honor the dreams that have already come true, and I honor the angels, masters and creator for assisting me as this all happens. Some of the things I learned in my rebirthing process I will take with me through this year of creation, is to be true to my boundaries. I have but a few boundaries as I like to live in constant change, but I will never again let anyone judge me on my personality. Spirit challenged me this weekend. Am I willing to stand by my own happiness? Or am I going to let someone else’s saddness keep me from being who I am.

Be true to yourselves. And honor the being of light that you are, no matter what anyone thinks of you…. or what you may think, they are thinking of you!
